'Eli, a nomad in a post-apocalyptic world, is motivated
to deliver an artifact of power to safe haven on
the west coast of the United States.
This collection represents Eli's isolated journey
across the barren lands that remain.'
installation: sand (1200lbs), hanging branches, electrical tape, twine), staging (garments, garnishments), score (ambient sounds, soundtrack elements from film)
programming: guests are invited to quietly experience the following world by touching + interacting with the mounted garments
[opening night]: guests enter in groups of four. encouraged to experience installation in absence of talking. hung garments invited to touch, feel, ponder. 'buried' garments encouraged to uncover, investigate. installation + garments reset/reburied for next group.
[showroom hours]: addition of sales registration table + garment rack with garments available for sale. patrons + press welcomed in to peruse, inquire, + purchase within installation. at close of second showroom day, strike.
