The Burntsienna Articulations of Values is a ten (10) week cohort of auto-ethnographic research for owner-operated design studios, fine art practices, social enterprises and cultural enterprises; to articulate their values, reclaibrate their offerings, and clarify their operations.
Autoethnography is defined as ‘research that involves analyzing personal experences to understand cultural and social values and preferences’.
Applying this research practice to each owner-operator’s personal histories, weekly disucssions and exercises in weeks 1- 7 unpack the core values and reference points that underpin their respective practices.
In weeks 8 -9, each member will compile the results of their research into their own ‘Cornerstone Manual’ - a comprehensive document of visual slides and reference points for vision/mission clarity, recalibrated services and offerings, SOP’s and comms, operating budgets, org sturctures and more.
This document will be presented by each cohort member during Final Presentations on week 10.
Post-cohort, this manual can be used for successfully clarifying brand identity, audience engagement, more connective onboarding of personnel and partners, building robust pitch decks for funding and more.
